Basic Earring Design | 2 hour class
Basic Earring Design is a great way to start working with wire. Learn how to make simple loops, wrapped loops, and dangles -- techniques that can be used in a wide variety of jewelry designs. You'll also get written instructions with diagrams to take home so you'll always have refresher information handy.
Students will learn:

- The elements of earring design
- Differences in basemetal vs. precious metal headpins and eyepins
- How to select the right length and gauge pin for your project
- How to use chain nose and round nose pliers to make consistently round loops
- How to make a simple round loop using basemetal headpins
- How to make a more secure wrapped loop using sterling headpins and how to tuck in the ends of the wire for a clean finish.
