Peyote stitch is found in Native American and West African beadwork. It is a very strong stitch that produces, like brick stitch, off-set rows arranged like brick paving. This class teaches flat, even count peyote, with a focus on how to start, how to add thread, count rows and follow a pattern. Peyote stitch can also be worked in flat odd count, tubular, spiral, or flat circular pieces.
Please note our Class Policy: Pre-registration with payment of class fee is required. Class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to other classes. Unless otherwise specified, classes are designed for adults ages 16 and up.
Class fee includes written instructions and a small "learning amount" of materials for getting started. Students will need to purchase additional materials in order to complete an entire project at home.
