Geometric Beadwork, based on Kate McKinnon’s open-source website, contemporarygeometricbeadwork.com, is a fascinating look at how simple bead weaving stitches can demonstrate broader scientific principles. This class will focus on the triangle and its variations.
Prerequisite: Students MUST be proficient in peyote stitch.
The goal of this class is to move through the various steps for making flat triangles and puffed triangles. We'll see how far we get in the time allotted and perhaps schedule a follow-up class if needed. This class will teach:
- The flat triangle
- How to decrease and make a puffed triangle
- How to add sides
- How to add a connecting tube and start another triangle
